Tyler Sheldon, PT, DPT

Tyler joined the PHENIX team in July 2022 after starting his career at Peak Physical Therapy in Waterbury, Connecticut. He earned his Doctorate in Physical Therapy in 2020 from Ithaca college where he had the opportunity to practice in clinics along the east coast.

Tyler’s treatment philosophy begins with a holistic understanding of his patients and enabling their success with a program designed specifically for their unique presentation. He utilizes the most recent evidence-based practice guidelines, manual therapy techniques, and patient feedback to work toward achieving their individual goals. He believes all patients can reach their full potential with the right encouragement, treatment design, and gentle push.

His clinical interests include management of patients who present with vestibular dysfunction, including vertigo and dizziness. He utilizes specific assessment tools and specialized treatment techniques for most presentations of peripheral vestibular disorders.

Tyler is a long-time runner and hiking enthusiast and has been challenging himself with the best Washington state has to offer since moving from the east coast. He is inspired by the active culture of the PNW and wants to make sure patients never have to wait long before returning to what they love. As a physical therapist, he embraces the opportunity to work with patients on everything from daily functional activities to high level sports participation.

When he is not on a trail, you can find him in boxing classes, rock climbing, or finding the perfect coffee shop.
